Miller Family Christmas

We received a HUGE box of goodies from The Miller Family today.  Marshall and I were napping in the recliner and when we woke up Raegan had dressed herself in her Tu-Tu and silver dancy shoes.  I just love this age, she wants to do everything "all my self."

"Oh a butterfly wing"

She put them on by herself.

Chelsea proving you're never too young to wear wings and look fantastic.

Pluto demonstrating how well the new Princess Bouncer works.

Marshall, showing off his new Tiger Flash Light

We already had the cow but Raegan had to go find it for a picture of all 3 lights.

Marshall chillin' with Sissy

This was such a sweet picture!

Thanks you so much to Uncle David and Aunte Carolyn (and kiddos) for sending such great gifts for the kids.  Raegan has enjoyed getting to open so many new things.  She's a bit spoiled (I mean blessed)!

Christmas 2009

We finally got to celebrate Christmas as a family on Saturday, December 26th.  We had to reschedule Chelsea's flight on Christmas Day because of bad weather.  She was scheduled to fly into Tulsa and Chris was going to drive down to get her but the roads in Oklahoma were closed!  Apparently it was a good decision because Chris and Dave went the following day, in Dave's 4 wheel drive suburban, and the roads were still questionable.  They said cars were flying everywhere.  Just what a momma wants to hear, right!  We kept telling Raegan we couldn't open presents until Sissy got here so the SECOND she walked in the door Raegan ran to the tree grabbed a present and shoved it in Chelsea's face and was jumping up and down.  "Yea, Sissy's here we can open presents."  She had the present half way open before Chelsea could even put her bags down.  That was fun to watch.

We had so many fun photos I uploaded them as a slideshow below:

Pluto in "Boot"

"Daddy I found that Pluto hiding in boot!"

"Mommy, I love Pluto."

"I'm rocking Pluto to sleep."

I waited until Raegan fell asleep to put Pluto in her stocking.  I was hoping she would still be asleep when Daddy and Chelsea got back but she woke up about 20 minutes sooner than planned.  I didn't say anything to her about Santa coming, she discovered it on her own.  I was in my bedroom and heard her scoot the kitchen chair across the floor.  I just thought she was getting a piece of cheese and didn't think anything more of it.  When I came out of my room she was headed down the hall with the biggest grin on her face, "Momma, that Pluto was hiding in that boot and I find him."  (She's beginning to understand Hide-and-Seek)  He hasn't replaced Puppy but she now has two doggies to hold, one under each arm.  He's even won a spot next to her in bed.  (That's HUGE!)

Marshall's 1st Tooth 12-24-2009

Another 1st on Christmas Eve.  Marshall woke up with his 1st tooth!  When I told Raegan that we were going to feed him cereal this morning she was so sweet to offer hers (Honeycomb).  I told her he needed teeth before he could eat her cereal.  Famous last words.  Little did I know he really had a tooth.

Daddy's not quite awake yet!

Raegan's all fired up to help!

"I'll hold your hand, brother."

Look at that face!

"Here brother, let me wipe your mouth."

A little ear poke is always good for the attention span.

"Daddy, take my picture. Cheese"

I think he's about had enough.

What a good day in our house.  Marshall ate his first cereal with great success.  He really did a great job!  As you can see from the pics Raegan was a big help.  Bless his heart, he couldn't eat his first meal in peace. Raegan had to hold his arm down, tickle him and poke her finger in his ear.  Despite all the distractions I managed to get several spoonfuls in his mouth and he swallowed.  We will continue to eat Oatmeal for the next 3 days before we move onto a new food.

Raegan's new hair-doo

During

After

Well, I just couldn't stand it anymore. Poor Raegan's hair is so fine and stringy. If I don't put it up in a pony tail and bow it just looks undone and messy! I don't want to put it up everyday. It will break it off. SO......I got scissor happy.  Here is the end result. What a cutie pie. I'm pretty proud of myself.  Maybe one day she will have thick curly hair like me and Chris.  For now I will have to keep it short and hope the undergrowth catches up and fills it in.

From Papa & Nana (Early Christmas)

Our kids were super blessed today by Papa and Nana.  We received their Christmas box and the kids got to open a few items.  Stockings for their sweet little heads (how stinkin' cute).  Every year it's a tradition to swap a new ornament.  Raegan got a Precious Moment Musical Ballerina and Marshall a Frosty Snowman holding a baby.  As you can see Raegan is mesmerized with hers and Marshall tried to eat his!  And I've saved the sweetest thing for last....Papa and Nana narrated "The Night Before Christmas."  Hallmark has the storybook out this year and you can record your own voice reading the book.  Needless to say I cried like a baby. This is such a priceless gift that the kids will enjoy for YEARS to come.  Thanks for making new memories for my kids!
