Planting our Garden 5-29-2010

Today we planted our garden!  Well I should say, Chris and Raegan, planted the garden and I watered it!  I'm such a trooper.  (hehe)  We'll have plenty of tomatoes, japalenos and squash!

Alligator Snapping Turtle

Chris found an Alligator Snapping Turtle and BROUGHT IT HOME!  It spent the day with us then he and the kids took it down to the river to "find it's mommy."  I'm afraid this is only the beginning of the critters in my home!

Oh yes, an orange slush from Sonic topped off the events!

Yummy Food...Shrimp Boil (Shrimp, Sausage, Corn & Potatoes).  Grilled Pineapple.  Grilled Chicken/Jap Poppers.  Kids had Mac-n-Cheese and Hot Dogs!

Raegan REALLY likes homemade icecream!

Yes, this is our garden area.  We hadn't planted it yet...thank goodness!  This was the biggest hit for the kids, besides playing in the mud at the bottom of the hill.

My goodness it was hot today.  As you can tell I'm a "bit" flushed!  I was trying to keep two homemade icecream freezers going at the same time.  What a chore.

All-in-all we had a wonderful evening.  We had 42 guests and enough food to feed an army.  I can't wait to have another party just like this one!
